Mystery Dinos marked "U.K.R.D."

Here are some vinyl Chinasaurs I found in Germany. These had attached tags from Simba Toys GmbH & Co. of Fürth (in Bavaria, very close to Nürnberg). The figures themselves have no Simba markings. They bear 1990s copyright dates and "U.K.R.D." Other markings are the standard CE compliance symbol, a UKRD part number, the name of the animal, and "Made in China."

Simba has a web site (actually several, all identical except for URL). However, as of December 2002 it is remarkably uninformative, a mere single page with a photo of generic kinder and an e-mail address.

The figures I have are clearly from two different series, one large (~ 6" figures), the other smaller (~ 4"). The Simba tags assign them to two series, Dinosaurier Collection and Little Dino-Land. According to the tags, the two series consist of -

     Dinosaurier Collection           Little Dino-Land
- Pteranodon
- Iguanodon
Tyrannosaurus Tyrannosaurus
Parasaurolophus Parasaurolophus
Allosaurus Allosaurus
Pachycephalosaurus Pachycephalosaurus
Brachiosaurus Brachiosaurus
Apatosaurus Apatosaurus
Stegosaurus Stegosaurus
Dimetrodon Dimetrodon
Triceratops Triceratops
Ankylosaurus Ankylosaurus
Edmpntosaurus [sic] -
Protoceratops -
